Honey-Sriracha Grilled Chicken Thighs

At Artisan Bees Honey Company, we love finding new ways to use our honey, and these Honey-Sriracha Grilled Chicken Thighs are a great entree to make for friends and family!


    • 6 tablespoons Sriracha sauce

    • 2 tablespoons honey

    • 8 bone-in chicken thighs, skinned

    • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro


Whisk together 2 tablespoons of the Sriracha sauce and all of the honey and set aside.

Place the chicken in a resealable plastic bag and add the remaining 4 tablespoons of Sriracha sauce and the lime juice. Seal; turn and shake the bag to coat the chicken. Let stand for 15 minutes to ensure the flavors soak in.

Grill chicken on the greased rack of a covered gas or charcoal grill directly over medium heat for 30 to 35 minutes or until done (at least 175°F internal temperature), turning 3 or 4 times.

Remove chicken to a platter; brush with honey mixture. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with cilantro for garnish and flavor. Serve and enjoy!

Tips and Pairings

With these chicken thighs, you can either grill using the method described above, or you can grill over indirect heat for 50 to 60 minutes, turning once. If you don’t have thighs, you can instead use boneless, skinless chicken breasts sliced into thinner pieces to ensure even coating and marinating. Pair Honey Sriracha chicken with steamed rice, baked veggies, or even noodles to create a delectable dinnertime dish that is filling and relatively healthy!
